What are the selection stages after I apply?
The selection process is highly competitive and lengthy, taking between six and ten months from the application closing date.Applicants must check their email frequently for updates. The typical selection process follows these stages: 1.Screening: Applications are assessed against the base eligibility criteria. 2.Detailed Assessment: Applications are assessed in more detail against the key selection guidelines. 3.Psychometric Testing: Applicants will be emailed a link to complete an abstract reasoning test. 4.English Language Testing: Applicants will be notified and required to provide their official English test scores. 5. Interviews: Applicants are invited to an interview, which typically takes place between May and July. 6. Final Decision: Applicants are formally notified if they are a "preferred candidate," placed on the "reserve list," or "unsuccessful". 7. Placement: "Preferred candidates" are then responsible for applying for admission to their chosen university and applying for their New Zealand Student Visa.
