What other allowances and support are provided?

In addition to the main entitlements, the scholarship also includes: Research and Thesis Allowance: For postgraduate students, to help cover the costs of their research and thesis production. Tutoring Allowance: is available to assist with the cost of additional academic tutoring, should a scholar need it. Travel: This includes the return economy flights at the beginning and end of the scholarship. For scholars on programmes longer than 1.6 years, it also includes funding for one or two trips home to visit family during the scholarship. Insurance: Scholars are provided with comprehensive medical and travel insurance for their entire time in New Zealand, which also covers travel to and from their home country. This policy is robust and includes cover for higher premiums related to pre-existing conditions.
