how is my annual leave accrued?

To determine whether you qualify for annual leave, first check with your consultant as it depends on your region and the conditions of your contract. The conditions of your contract also determines how your leave is accrued.

  • If you’re a contractor at our Hong Kong branch,  to qualify for annual leave, your contract must exceed 3 months with Randstad or, alternatively, if you are part-time staff you must work over 18 hours a week. Your specific annual leave entitlements will be included in your contract to effect how your annual leave is accrued.

The formula for accruing annual leave is as follows:

Total length of service per year/365 days x leave entitlement per year (as per your contract).

  • Annual leave is accrued at our New Zealand branch each week at a rate of 8%, based on the hours you have worked. If you have accumulated enough and wish to take leave, your consultant will ask you to process your leave request via the My Randstad portal by attaching it to your timesheet.
