what is the process of submitting a leave request?

Any leave that you may take when you’re a contractor for Randstad must be agreed upon and signed off by your consultant and the client.

If you intend to take sick/medical leave, we ask you to notify us as early as possible - usually before you are due to start work on the day that you intend to take as sick leave. A Leave Request form must also be completed and signed by the client, along with a medical certificate.

  • At our Randstad Australia branch, we do not provide any paid leave including but not limited to annual, long service, parental, carers or sick leave for contractors.
  • If you’re a contractor in Hong Kong and intend to take sick/medical leave, then we ask you to notify us as early as possible and ensure you’ve completed a ‘Leave Request’ form, which needs to be signed by the client, along with a medical certificate.
  • It is a similar process in New Zealand, except you are only entitled to sick leave once you have worked for Randstad continuously for 6 months. At that point you are entitled to 5 days. If you are not entitled to sick pay, then your time away from work will be unpaid. You may also be asked to provide a Medical Certificate if you are sick for 3 or more days.
  • To submit a leave request in Singapore when you’re entitled to annual leave, you must do so through the ‘Leave Module’ on myRandstad and have it signed off by your consultant and client.
